CHF Career Professionals

Career Professional™ is the designation given to students who successfully complete one of the Career Professional™ programs at the Custom Home Furnishings Acdemy. The following Career Professional™ program graduates are now available to help you meet your needs:

WINDOW COVERINGS CAREER PROFESSIONAL™ GRADUATES
	Skilled in rod pocket panels, pinch pleat panels, sheer panels, balloon shades, Roman shades, swags, jabots, basic valances, and assorted trims.
ADVANCED WINDOW COVERINGS CAREER PROFESSIONAL™ GRADUATES
	Skilled in drafting patterns, creating soft cornices, fabricating Kingstons and Empires, and designing cascades, jabots, and horns. Capable of creating hobbled shades, shaped banding, and other advanced embellishments.  Trained in high-end techniques: bump-interlined drapery panels, working with odd-shaped windows, bays, arches, arched-top and goblet pleat panels.
INSTALLATION CAREER PROFESSIONAL™ GRADUATES
	Trained to install soft window coverings, shades, blinds and verticals, including some advanced applications such as bay and ow windows, arched windows and motorized hardware.
SLIPCOVERS CAREER PROFESSIONAL™ GRADUATES
	Skilled in creating fit-like-a-glove slipcovers and undergarments, placement of difficult patterns, slipcovers without a skirt, and designer skirts. Works with difficult furniture like wing-back, channel, barrel, and overstuffed chairs.
UPHOLSTERY CAREER PROFESSIONAL™ GRADUATES
	Upholsters on new frames and reupholster, from tear-down to completion. Skilled in tying springs, webbing, padding, pattern placement, cushion fabrication, skirt construction, skirt placement, single welting, double welting, decorative nails, and hand-finishing curved areas.
BED COVERINGS / PILLOWS CAREER PROFESSIONAL™ GRADUATES
	Skilled in creating all types of bed coverings, including bedspreads, coverlets, comforters, duvets and dust ruffles. Designing and creating a wide variety of decorative pillows and shams to accent your coverings.
CORNICES CAREER PROFESSIONAL™ GRADUATES
	Skilled in scaling, designing and drafting custom patterns for shaped cornices, multi-dimensional cornices and cornices for speciality windows and bays utilizing advanced embellishing techniques.
