This class is an essential beginning for all professional upholsterers. Students will construct a cushion as they learn the proper operation of a walking foot machine and industrial serger. The instructor will demonstrate techniques for tearing down furniture as well as many re-upholstery practices. Students will learn the wrap-and-staple techniques while constructing different types of slip seats. Instruction will be provided as they complete the upholstery of medallion-back chairs and several different versions of a parson chair. All materials and supplies will be provided.
